SHARP BP-1200S
Color-Logic and Touch7 Collaborate on Graphic Design USA Magazine Contest Winner
03/02/25 09:27
West Chester, Ohio, USA; January 2025 - When Frank Paganucci—the creative director of Paganucci Design in New York City—needed inspiration in preparing the brochure and rollout materials for introduction of the new Sharp Color Printing Systems press at Printing United Las Vegas late in 2024, he logically looked to the new press and the tools delivered as standard software with it. Sharp wisely elected to include the Color-Logic Metallic Color System and the Touch7 Color System with every SHARP BP-1200S digital press, so Paganucci used the popular color embellishment tools to prepare collateral material for the press. His efforts and the resulting Sharp brochure were recognized by Graphic Design USA Magazine as a 2024 American Graphic Design Award Winner. Discussing the honor, Paganucci said: "This project was an exciting opportunity to help Sharp showcase their innovative 6-color printing technology, which enhances traditional 4-color files with vibrant hot pink and silver toners. The design incorporated bold graphics, custom and technical illustrations, and a layout that seamlessly highlights the machine's unrivaled capabilities. Color-Logic and Touch7 personnel assisted our efforts in using these exciting new tools."
Discussing the Graphic Design USA award, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "Since Color-Logic and Touch7 are standard software in every new Sharp 6-color press shipped, new Sharp press owners can immediately offer their customers brilliant metallic colors with embellishments and fluorescent colors in their designs. Sharp's election to utilize Color-Logic metallic and Touch7 systems into their product brochure is a great show of 'practice what you preach'—or, in this case, 'practice what you are selling.' Much of print is forgettable, but the Sharp/Color-Logic partnership and this award are great examples of how embellishment can enable printers to make a client's collateral material stand out from the competition."
