Color-Logic Certifies DEX Imaging Greensboro Demo Studio

West Chester, Ohio, USA; October 2026 - Color-Logic has announced that the Dex Imaging LLC demonstration studio in Greensboro, North Carolina, is now certified by Color-Logic for producing its embellishments and metallic colors.

As part of the certification process, DEX submitted a Color-Logic test form printed on a Ricoh Pro 7500 digital press using white and CMYK toner on metallic stock. The samples demonstrated all of the Color-Logic effects and 21 of its 924 metallic colors. The results were outstanding.

The certification gives customers an opportunity to see Color-Logic effects produced at the DEX Greensboro demo studio and to explore how metallic colors and embellishments can enhance printed applications.

DEX brings a production-focused, independently sourced approach to print. When print is the product, the press—and the service behind it—can directly affect a business’s margins. DEX sells and services production-grade equipment from multiple manufacturers, helping print shops, marketing operations and in-plants find the right press for their run lengths and substrates.

“DEX’s submitted samples demonstrated the range and quality of Color-Logic effects that can be achieved on the Ricoh Pro 7500,” said Mark Geeves, Director of sales and Marketing at Color-Logic. “The outstanding results are a strong example of what customers can explore at the Greensboro demo studio.”

YellowDog Adds Visualis3R from Color-Logic

West Chester, Ohio, USA; October 2026 - Color-Logic has announced that YellowDog has added Visualis3R (V3R) to its portfolio, giving the Denver-based print and design company a new way to preview and develop specialty-ink designs before production.

Dan Mulligan of YellowDog had planned to trial Visualis3R, but his experience with Color-Logic and Touch7 led him to purchase the software outright.

“I had planned to trial Visualis3R, but based on my experience with Color-Logic and Touch7, I decided to purchase it outright. I was confident it would improve my workflow, and it has. V3R has changed how I work with specialty inks, letting me move between my design tools and V3R to quickly preview a print-accurate version of the work in progress, experiment with layering, and develop new ideas. Previewing the work on different paper stocks and colors gives me a much clearer understanding of the final printed result before production—no guesswork.”

Visualis3R helps designers visualize specialty-ink effects and explore how designs may appear on different substrates and colors. For YellowDog, the ability to move between design applications and V3R supports a more informed creative process, helping the team assess concepts before they reach the press.

Founded in 2005 by Jenny and Dan Mulligan, YellowDog grew from a print provider serving the Denver market into an integrated design and printing company. The company combines creative services and production to help clients bring print projects to life. YellowDog has previously invested in Color-Logic and Touch7 technology, building on its commitment to digital tools that expand creative possibilities.

“YellowDog’s experience shows how Visualis3R can fit into a designer’s everyday workflow,” said Mark Geves, Director of Marketing & Sales of Color-Logic. “By making it easier to preview specialty-ink work on different stocks and colors, V3R helps creative teams explore ideas with greater confidence before production. The V3R software's ability to create a high resolution video or image also assists in helping YellowDog market their designs to clients."

Color-Logic Certifies ColorByte ImagePrint UV RIP

West Chester, Ohio, USA; October 2026 - Color-Logic, the world leader in metallic color systems and print embellishments, has certified the ColorByte ImagePrint UV RIP for use with the Color-Logic metallic color system. The intuitive RIP integration and white ink linearization of the ColorByte RIP vastly simplifies the production of Color-Logic metallic colors and embellishments.

For the certification, ColorByte submitted the official Color-Logic test form, produced on a Fluid Color UV inkjet printer using white plus CMYK inks on metallic stock. Testing confirmed that all Color-Logic metallic colors, decorative effects, and embellishments printed correctly.

In addition to properly supporting Color-Logic embellishments, ColorByte has incorporated an intuitive Color-Logic interface directly into the ImagePrint UV RIP. This streamlined workflow eliminates the need for printers to perform special setup procedures or manually configure the RIP to print Color-Logic files. Operators simply bring the supplied PDF into the RIP and print.

The ColorByte ImagePrint UV RIP also offers white-ink linearization capabilities. Precise control of white ink is essential when printing Color-Logic files on metallic substrates because the white ink determines how much of the metallic surface is revealed or suppressed. The ColorByte linearization technology accurately and consistently reproduces Color-Logic metallic colors and effects across the entire tonal range of the file.

“ColorByte has done more than ensure that ImagePrint UV correctly supports Color-Logic embellishments,” said Mark Geeves, Director of Sales & Marketing. “The company has developed an intuitive interface that makes the production process exceptionally simple for printers. Its white-ink linearization capability also provides the control required to reproduce Color-Logic metallic colors and effects properly throughout the complete tonal range.”

Certification of the ColorByte ImagePrint UV RIP provides print service providers using compatible UV inkjet printers with a tested, straightforward workflow for producing premium metallic applications and print embellishments.
