23/06/25 11:13 Filed in: Variable Data Printing
West Chester, Ohio, USA; June 2025 - Color-Logic, a leader in color management and metallic printing technology, produces groundbreaking software that dramatically transforms variable metallic data printing on digital presses. Designed to address longstanding challenges occurring when printing metallic data on metallic substrates—including the use of white ink or toner—the innovative Color-Logic software simplifies workflows, enhances accuracy, and unlocks new creative possibilities.
The Problems of Variable Metallic Data Printing on Metallic Stocks: Traditionally, printing variable metallic data on metallic stocks requires creating a new manual white ink mask for any variable you might want to change. This process is so labor-intensive, so prone to errors, and so constraining to creative flexibility—especially in critical applications such as security printing, personalized packaging, and high-end marketing materials—that no one can do it economically. Until now!

The Amplify show, the premier North American event for print embellishments, featured a collaborative showcase highlighting the predictable and economical possibilities of digital print embellishment. Click here for an example of embellishments produced with Color-Logic at the show: https://youtu.be/5PP7Xg58Hyg.
Today, print embellishment is more than just a "wow" factor. It is about achieving a tangible Return on Response (ROR). At Color-Logic, strategic embellishment is a key differentiator for brands and commercial clients, setting them apart from the competition. Amplify attendees saw compelling examples of how print embellishment can be successfully applied to commercial and packaging applications.
To produce the free embellishment samples made available at Amplify, Color-Logic partnered with Duplo, Sharp, and Unifoil. Unifoil Unilustre DI metallic stock was utilized with the Sharp white and CMYK toner on the Sharp BP-1200S Digital Press to create the Color-Logic metallic colors and embellishments for all the files. One of the files utilized Touch7 Neon Photo with the Sharp pink toner to add Sharp pink into image of the file with just one mouse click. A Duplo CCD810PRO UV spot ultraviolet coater was used on all of the packages produced, to accentuate the files effects with a tactile feel. A Duplo CD618 slitter/cutter/creaser and a Duplo DPC600PKG digital die cutter were used to finish the package file.
Commenting about the results of the partnership, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The world of print embellishment is about showing designers, brands, and marketers what is possible with print today. Amplify attendees who stopped by the Duplo, Sharp or Unifoil booths at the show saw what is truly possible with Color-Logic embellishments."
