Color-Logic Shows Embellishments Being Created
27/05/25 09:40 Filed in: Embellishments
West Chester, Ohio, USA; May 2025 - For more than seven years—since long before printers began discussing how to sell embellishments—Color-Logic has produced Watch It Wednesday, a weekly posting on Facebook and YouTube. Recently, to commemorate the 400th Watch It Wednesday segment, Color-Logic released a detailed video showing how a graphic designer can create a finished embellishment file in just minutes, as well as the finished embellished product. Discussing the video, Mark Geeves, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing said: “Embellishment vendors always seem to focus on how the printed embellishment looks. But from a business standpoint, the cost and difficulty of creating the embellishment is often more important. Our 400th video lets printers and their graphic designers or prepress personnel watch as a typical stock library image is quickly converted to yield a ready-to-print file complete with several types of Color-Logic print embellishments.”

West Chester, Ohio, USA; May 2025 - Color-Logic, the undisputed worldwide leader in metallic printing technology, has announced certification of the Fiery digital front ends (DFEs) available on Konica Minolta AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S models. This certification marks a significant advancement in the realm of print embellishments, enabling printers to utilize white ink and CMYK printing on metallic stock with exceptional results.
Discussing the certification, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The Color-Logic test form that Fiery submitted for certification showcased the array of embellishments available to designers using the 924 metallic colors available in the Color-Logic system. The results were nothing short of spectacular, demonstrating the ability of the Fiery DFEs to enhance the visual appeal of printed materials."
Geeves continued: "The innovative design tools and metallic colors available in the Color-Logic workflow are not merely supported by the Fiery DFEs, but a special feature in the DFEs gives designers direct access to the complete Color-Logic metallic color system. This streamlines the design process and yields stunning print results, particularly when using metallic stock. In developing one of the first DFEs to support the Color-Logic workflow for metallic printing on metallic stock with white plus CMYK, Fiery has established itself as a pioneer in this cutting-edge technology. The Konica Minolta C14010S and C12010S AccurioPress models represent breakthroughs in the digital printing industry as the first Konica Minolta engines equipped with white toner. This combination, paired with the Fiery DFEs, delivers outstanding results that will undoubtedly impress clients and elevate their print offerings."
Color-Logic Chief Technology Officer, Richard Ainge, also commented on the certification: "We are thrilled to see the exceptional capabilities of the AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S come to life through our partnership with Fiery. With the power of the Color-Logic Design Suite and Metallic Color system, Konica Minolta printers can unlock a new world of creative possibilities in print embellishments."

Color-Logic Certifies the Fujifilm Revoria PC1120 Digital Press for Metallic Printing
08/05/25 13:31 Filed in: REVORIA PRESS™ PC1120 | Fujifilm Revoria | Revoria | Digital Embellishment | Digital Press
West Chester, Ohio, USA; May 2025 - Color-Logic has expanded its certification of print solutions from FUJIFILM North American Corporation, Business Innovation Division, in Hanover Park (Suburban Chicago), Illinois, to include the REVORIA PRESS™ PC1120 Digital Press, due to its ability to print high-quality metallic effects on paper with silver and CMYK toner, as well as on metallic stocks using white and CMYK toner.
The Fujifilm REVORIA PRESS digital toner press technology offers advanced digital printing solutions, featuring high-resolution output, versatile media handling, and finishing capabilities. Its state-of-the art platform provides advanced automation, integrated CMYK+ printing capabilities, and benchmark image quality and productivity, allowing businesses to expand their offerings, reduce turnaround times, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
The Color-Logic certification test form features 21 of the 924 Color-Logic metallic colors potentially available, producing a comprehensive demonstration of the various effects that can be realized using the Color-Logic Design Suite for Adobe CC. These effects include Gradation-FX, Dimensional-FX, Watermark-FX, Watermark-FX Plus, Image-FX, and Pattern-FX. The sheets submitted by Fujifilm successfully reproduced all of these effects, showcasing the ability of the press to produce vibrant and engaging designs. The Color-Logic test form also contains QR codes so printers and designers can see how each Color-Logic effect is created within Adobe CC.
Discussing the certification process and test form, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The Color-Logic test form was expertly designed by the Color-Logic development team to evaluate the linearization of both silver toner and white toner, thus ensuring a precise and accurate output of Color-Logic embellishment effects when working with the Color-Logic Image-FX for adding metallics into images and for some of our effects with vector colors. The successful reproduction of these by the Fujifilm Graphics Innovation Division further validates the efficacy of the REVORIA PRESS in producing high-quality metallic prints.
This certification builds on the previous Fujifilm success in achieving Color-Logic certification for its line of large-format UV inkjet printers, reinforcing both companies' dedication to advancing technology and innovation within the printing industry.
